Shooting & Stalking

Traditional country sports continue to play a role in the management of Montrose Estates. All shooting and stalking is managed on a low-intensity basis by experienced professionals, ensuring these traditional sporting activities remain fully aligned with the Estate's long-term commitment to conservation and responsible land stewardship.

The Estate offers carefully managed stalking and rough shooting within one of Scotland's most spectacular landscapes. Red, roe and fallow deer are present and responsible deer management helps protect sensitive habitats, encourage woodland regeneration and support wider biodiversity objectives. Small groups also enjoy rough shooting for wildfowl, pheasants and woodcock during the appropriate seasons.
